Julija Krawiets
13 yo
Julija Krawiets is 13 years old and is struggling with diabetic neuropathy. This condition affects her daily functioning and requires constant attention and care.
In July 2024, while roller skating, Julija suffered an injury to the sacral and coccygeal section of her spine. She was examined by an orthopedic traumatologist; however, on August 1, her condition suddenly worsened. She began to lose weight very rapidly and experienced general weakness and constant thirst.
After being admitted to the hospital and undergoing tests in the pediatric department, Julija was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in a severe form, accompanied by ketoacidosis. Additionally, she was diagnosed with autoimmune thyroiditis (hypertrophic form), subclinical hypothyroidism, and accommodation spasm of both eyes.
Insulin therapy, hormonal treatment, a special diet, and continuous health monitoring were prescribed. Julija requires regular medical supervision and consultations with a diabetologist every two months.
Julija’s family is doing everything possible to provide her with the best conditions and support. Every form of help is extremely important and gives hope for improving her quality of life. 💛
